you sure do give the readers a wrong impression of Walla Walla, miles of dark green grape fields? Well, maybe in a certain spot or two, the rest is wheat, barley and peas. I didn’t know that the Blue Mountains were bare either. I always wondered that those things sticking up and blocking my view of the valley were.
But then, if you came looking for wine, I guess that is all you could see. Sort of cant see the forest for the grape vines.
Wes,
Thanks for your comment. A typical blogger might delete your criticism, but since it seemed so constructive, I went ahead and made changes to the copy of the story. In terms of the vineyards, that’s what I saw on the hills surrounding the city. Actually, I take that back. I did see some wheat!
And in terms of the trees on the Blue Mountains? Well, that was a mechanical error on my keyboard’s behalf.
Thanks for stopping by. And thanks for the onions!! We love ‘em.
